Marine Le Pen improves in Paris, but the capital still holds her in contempt

In five years, the candidate increased her score from 10.32% to 14.90% in the capital. But she did not succeed in capturing all of Eric Zemmour's supporters.

Perhaps this is where, every 1st of May, the leaders of the Rassemblement National (RN) should lay a wreath, rather than at the foot of the statue of Joan of Arc. In one of the polling stations set up on this street, Marine Le Pen achieved a striking score on Sunday, April 24. More than one in three voters (33.96%) selected a ballot with her name on it. It was her best score ever in any Paris polling station. It indicated that, despite many obstacles, the far right is gaining ground in the capital, even though the city is still strongly opposed to it.
